Nicholas Arsenault
Nick was a son, a brother, an uncle and a best friend to many. His reach spanned across plains, mountains and seas. He made an imprint on everyone he met, kids and adults alike. Nick had many favourite things, but mostly, he loved people and music, riding anything with two or more wheels, and he really loved getting lost in the woods.
Kindness was a trait that Nick possessed from when he was a young kid until the day he passed. He was always the welcoming committee. He included all the kids stuck on the side lines, gave his attention to those at the parties who didn’t know anyone and, if you were his friend, he always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room when he was hanging out with you. Nick had a warmth about him that was indescribable - from start to finish.
Nick didn’t start out as the crazy adventure nut that he was later in life. He was a timid kid, scared of heights and always worried about getting hurt. However, his drive to live life to the fullest pushed him to conquer these challenges. He got over his fear of heights by learning how to climb trees, he found his footing on the slopes and felt grounded whizzing down a highway on his motorcycle. The one thing you can be certain of, is that no matter which of his favorite activities he was partaking in, he was always accompanied by music. From a youngster til the moment he left us Nick always had his music on. When he wasn’t listening to someone else playing, he was playing - guitar, piano or singing his favorite songs (usually with his own idea of what the lyrics were).
Nick had a love for life that made him shine. He always laughed hard and loved even harder. His energy was contagious. We always tell those who loved and lost him, that he’s still around. He can be found in everything he loved the most - the trees, the lakes, the off-road truck trails, the crown land campsites, and in all the eagles soaring around this world - but most of all, you can find him in all of the people he met and impacted. Nick is kept around by those who loved him, and that’s a heck of a lot of people.
Nick always wanted the best for everyone, so we are going to continue to fulfil his dreams. And we are going to do it for those who need it most and in NIck fashion - with music, boards and the great outdoors.
