Spirit North was one of the first organizations we raised money for, as they are huge supporters of outdoor youth programs with First Nations neighbouring Canmore, AB. Spirit North runs many programs at the schools in Mînî Thnî - including cross country skiing, canoeing, land-based games and so on. In our first year our incredible donors helped us raise $5000!

We are excited to announce that we had a successful bingo night thanks to Sheepdog Brewing and all of our supporters that came out or donated online! We successfully raised the $1500 to fund 5 kids through KidSport!
KidSport provides grants to help cover the cost of registration fees so that all kids 18 and under can play a seasonal sport!

The Nick Project is honoured to have such incredible donors! Our first contribution of $9000 was in 2023 for outdoor gear to be purchased for the High School students.
This money allowed the school to purchase full winter gear that many of the students do not have access to. Snow pants, jackets, mittens, toques and boots will allow the high school students to partake in the land-based learning program year round!
Outdoor Gear
Leaving friends and the community that high school brings can be difficult. Many students struggle with what to do after, and in a rural community, it can be hard to find a career path. Many jobs that are more readily available to the graduates of the Stoney Nakoda high school are those that primarily involve working in an outdoor setting. Last year we funded the Stoney Education Authority pilot project to put up to 10 students through a 40-hour wilderness first aid course, which counted towards their high school credits!
